MDERS Emergency Response Meta-leadership Seminar Series: Transformational Connectivity to Foster High Performance (Session Two)
The Maryland-National Capital Region Emergency Response System (MDERS) and the National Preparedness Leadership Initiative (NPLI) are pleased to announce that we will be hosting the next portion of the MDERS Emergency Response Leadership Seminar Series: Transformational Connectivity to Foster High Performance.
This four-part, interactive program will explore the transformational benefits of robust connectivity and how to build it. Sessions will take a “deep dive” into designing the relationship with the boss, building a great team, and forging productive links across and beyond organizational boundaries. Students will discuss the “silent killers” of connectivity and how to avoid them. The series will conclude with a scenario-based “master class” in which participants will apply the concepts and tools they have learned.
Session Two: Leading Down: Building A Great Team
As a meta-leader, you need to be more than simply “the boss.” The challenge is creating the conditions in which subordinates commit to the mission and thrive professionally and personally. It is also to develop the next generation of leaders. It is a role that takes courage and tenacity. Participants will explore concrete skills for thinking and acting as the leaders others choose to follow.
Due to space constraints, this event is by invitation only.
